Biological Activity

FURA-2AM is a fluorescent ratiometric Ca²⁺ indicator. FURA-2AM is selective for Ca²⁺ over other divalent cations Mg²⁺, Zn²⁺, Fe²⁺ and Mn2+. FURA-2AM binds to free intracellular calcium and is used to determine [Ca²⁺]i concentration.
