Normal lysosomal function is achieved through the action of two classes of proteins: lysosomal membrane proteins and lysosomal enzymes, mainly soluble lysosomal hydrolases (also known as acid hydrolases). Soluble lysosomal hydrolases constitute the major degrading lysosomal components, and to date, more than 50 hydrolases and their auxiliary proteins have been detected. Lysosomal hydrolases include a variety of peptidases, nucleases, glycosidases, sulfatases, and lipases. Peptidases, a large family of lysosomal hydrolases, are present in all organisms and catalyze the hydrolysis of peptide bonds in different biological processes. Peptides are synthesized by ribosomes and then the peptides enter the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus for processing and sorting to form lysosomal peptidases with a certain spatial structure. This is a label that targets lysosomes.
Lysosomal peptidases are hydrolases that digest waste proteins targeted to lysosomes by endocytosis and autophagy. In addition, they play more specific roles in several other cellular processes and pathologies. Lysosomal peptidases are key to the study of lysosomal function. CD BioSciences has advanced peptide synthesis, purification and lyophilization equipment and a complete process to provide one-stop lysosomal peptidase synthesis services. The lysosomal peptidases we are developing include:
❖ Aspartic cathepsins (D and E).
❖ Serine cathepsins (A and G).
❖ Asparagine endopeptidase.
❖ Cysteine cathepsins (B, C, F, H, K, L, O, S, V, W, and X/Z).
Focusing on lysosomal peptide synthesis for many years, CD BioSciences has accumulated rich experience and is able to synthesize peptides of different lengths, different amino acid sequences and different purity levels according to customers' requirements, with guaranteed peptide quality and HPLC and MS test reports.
