In Vitro Studies
HEPES can drive lysosomal biogenesis by affecting MiT/TFE cytoplasmic-nuclear distribution thereby disrupting the overall cellular transcriptional profile, ultimately leading to activation of the MiT/TFE-dependent lysosomal-autophagy gene network in cultured RAW264.7 cells.
